I never knew if you were there
to hold my hand through winter's glare
and once again carry me
to a lagoon or deep blue sea
I never knew if you'd be mine
a prospect once so pure divine
or leave me blocking arteries
in a city lined with fewer trees
I never knew if we'd strike gold
or whether dreams would simply fold
beneath the paper thin walls
eroded by our many falls
I never knew if you knew me
in life, in song or poetry
but will cradle that which I may
to meet you on a summer's day.

Few know of the plight of the Saharwari people. The ruthless effectiveness of the Moroccan authorities in preventing entry to this isolated territory, ensures that nobody speaks up and no image gets out. So what happens when someone tries to enter the territory with a video camera?
Followed by a Q&A with Danielle Smith, director of Sandblast Arts.

St Pancras turns platforms into a stage
The Guillemots are amongst the line-up at St Pancras and I'm not talking about the queue to get on the Eurostar. It's just the latest pop-up venue for artists to showcase their music. I think it works and I love how us hectic Londoners will not only get live performances where we least expect them but also get to grips with all the amazing new artists out there that we just don't have time to my-space. Genius

I am impressed with......
how some people use the internet. You-tube inspired film Life in a Day is filmed by 340 amateurs (there were 80,000 entries) on one single day ( 24th July) as part of an innovative documentary about life on planet earth...
Here is the trailer. Inspiring

Voices in Tandem
Voices in tandem
usually apart
Drawing closer
with each vocal breath
A change in tone
is all that can save us
and dissipate anger
resentment and death
A lull of pure silence
a purr of clean relief
As voices in tandem
take up their distinct beat
veering into each other
then stopping to go back
and holding their lover.
